متن کاملCompiling Ruby on the CLR
The implementation of statically typed programming languages on the .NET CLR is by now well understood [1]. However, the situation with dynamic languages is not so clear. Typically such languages have objects that are dynamically typed, while the CLR is statically typed at the instruction code level. Nevertheless there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that the CLR can be a suitable targ...
متن کاملNEH-based heuristics for the permutation owshop
Since Johnson's seminal paper in 1954, scheduling jobs in a permutation owshop has been receiving the attention of hundreds of practitioners and researchers, being one of the most studied topics in the Operations Research literature. Among the di erent objectives that can be considered, minimising the total tardiness (i.e. the sum of the surplus of the completion time of each job over its due d...
متن کاملLibrary Technician Programs: Skills-Oriented Paraprofessional Education
To BETTER L’XDERSIAND THE M-ORK THAT library technicians can and should do in libraries, the formal programs that train library technicians are discussed. متن کاملJVM versus CLR: a comparative study
We present empirical evidence to demonstrate that there is little or no difference between the Java Virtual Machine and the .NET Common Language Runtime, as regards the compilation and execution of object-oriented programs. Then we give details of a case study that proves the superiority of the Common Language Runtime as a target for imperative programming language compilers (in particular GCC).
